Harris provides a wide range of products and services for commercial and government communications markets such as wireless, broadcast and government.
Harris is the world leader in multiband frequency radios, which allow operators to perform multiple functions on different frequency bands, eliminating the need and inconvenience of carrying multiple radios. This capability has become increasingly important to U.S. and allied military forces as they upgrade communications for joint missions.
The next-generation Falcon III radios are bringing future capabilities to customers today, including data networking and true network-centric operations. The widely deployed JTRS-approved Falcon III multiband, multimission, handheld radio offers military forces exceptional operational flexibility - including SINCGARS capability - ultra-high frequency ground-to-ground line-of-sight communications, close-air support, tactical satellite communications, and programmable encryption. Falcon III has a future-proof design as a result of its JTRS Software Communications Architecture (SCA), which facilitates reprogramming to add features and software upgrades. Falcon III supports the U.S. mission of pervasive connectivity on the battlefield from the individual soldier all the way to command and control headquarters.
Falcon II and Falcon III radios are now standard on the new Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicles, which are a top priority for the Pentagon because they provide additional protection for troops against IEDs (Improvised Explosive Devices). The communications suite of the MRAPs must not fail.

The Harris RF-5800H-MP is the most advanced HF manpack radio available today, setting the standard for reliable, long-range High-Frequency (HF) communication on the battlefield. Designed to provide soldiers with secure voice and data communications, even in the harshest conditions, the RF-5800H-MP provides continuous coverage in the 1.6 to 60 MHz frequency band and enables them to stay connected to mission critical information during operations where line of sight communications are not an option.
The Harris SB-V16B provide easily assembled and erected vertical HF whip antennas. These provide omnidirectional low-angle radiation patterns for ground-wave and skywave propagation from 2 to 30 MHz. They can be assembled and erected by one man in minutes. Broadband operation does require an antenna couplers such as the
RF-382 or RF-2601 Series.
RF-5800V HH VHF
The Harris RF-5800V-HH is a small, lightweight military VHF handheld radio to the squad level. The radio is small and light, and features capabilities such as access to telephone systems via the RF-6010 Tactical Network Access Hub, IP data, automatic position reporting using an internal or external GPS receiver, integration with computer-based situational awareness systems, and tactical messaging or image transmission applications. Automatic whisper sensitivity ensures that even quiet communication is clearly heard.
